Report on the conservation status of migratory waterbirds in the Agreement area, 5th edition (AEWA Conservation Status Report)
Draft
Background:
The AEWA Conservation Status Report summarises the available knowledge about the size and trends of migratory waterbird populations listed in Table 1 of the AEWA Action Plan. It provides the basis for updating Table 1 and, in turn, determines the conservation and management measures required from the Contracting Parties outlined in the AEWA Action Plan.
The AEWA Conservation Status Report builds strongly on the information collected through the International Waterbrid Census in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
On this page we provide access to the consultation draft and to additional background infromation that has been used in the analyses. This document is still in progress. The main documents to review are: Part 4, i.e. the population size and trend estimates and the proposed changes to Table 1 of the AEWA Action Plan. The Trend Charts links provide access to the graphs showing the numbers counted, the total with imputed values, the upper confidence limits for each year and the linear trend for the totals. Populations can be selected in the drop down menu in the top left corner. You will need to allow macros to show the graphs with correct formating.
