Wetlands International is proud to have been awarded the seal of approval of the Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF) for trustworthy fundraising and expenditure. We were awarded the seal in October 2011.
About the CBF-seal
When a charity has a CBF-Seal of approval (CBF-Keur), issued by the Central Bureau on Fundraising (CBF) in the Netherlands, it signifies that the practices of the organisation have been closely reviewed and found to meet CBF standards for accountability and transparency. Criteria to qualify for the seal include good governance, a multi-year policy plan and transparent reporting per objectives. Additional standards ensure that expenditures are made in relation to the results achieved by an organisation and there is proper oversight related to overhead and fundraising costs.
The CBF-seal functions as a clear sign for donors regarding the quality and trustworthiness of a charity organisation.
