Wetlands International is working with Observado to adapt their existing on-line data collection tools to the needs of the IWC in order to help national coordinators collect data from their observers.

An initial version is already available for testing at: http://iwc-nigeria.observado.org/area_lijst.php?werkgroep=werkgroep&type=0&partial_name=&iwclist=0&iwclist=1. An instructional video can be found on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NreOC3qpdx0) and a skeletal manual attached here with further details about the technical developments.

Wetlands International together with SOVON are building an Internet-based International Waterbird Census Database. The attached Use Cases have been formulated with the intention to clarify the purpose of the product. They may be adjusted and complemented through consultation and will form the base of a Functional Design, which will precede the actual construction and implementation of the product.
