Raymond C. Offenheiser: "I am delighted to join the Wetlands International's network as Honorary President. I hope to join others within the network seeking to build linkages between our shared concerns for sustainable livelihoods and conservation stewardship. In a world in which we are seeing everyday the limits to growth in ever sharper relief, it is urgent that we create the vision, public support and institutional responses that will deliver appropriate management of global wetlands. I hope that I am able to work with all of you throughout the network who share this vision and want to build Wetlands International into a global institutional force to achieve these goals."
