Seed funds offered for ideas on wetland and poverty reduction projects

20-Jul-2006

The Wetland and Poverty Reduction Project  has established a Seed Funding Facility for supporting partnerships to prepare project proposals that address poverty and improve wetland management.

The Seed Funding Facility will provide funds to support conservation and development organisations to work collaboratively together and engage with local and regional stakeholders in the development of project proposals that address wetland-poverty issues.
The Facility is available  to organisations working in developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Supporting these processes and partnerships will result in new projects being submitted to donors (i.e. bi-lateral and multi-lateral development agencies, conservation and/or development NGOs, private foundations and/or the corporate sector) for future funding consideration.
