24-Jun-2005

Postponement: the International workshop on Sustaining Peatland Resources - Setting a Course for Wise Use, scheduled for 5-7 July 2005, Bogor, Indonesia will be postponed. The Workshop Steering Committee is re-programming the event and will release further information as soon as possible.

The meeting will build on the results from the Climate Change, Forests and Peatlands in Indonesia (CCFPI) project, which has implemented livelihood, rehabilitation and conservation activities in Central Kalimantan, Jambi and South Sumatra, Indonesia. The project results will be complemented by inputs from the Southeast Asian region and other countries to determine priority issues for tropical peatlands and future directions.
