The 2nd China National Waterbirds Workshop was held on 4-6th November at Dafeng, Yancheng National Nature Reserve. Waterbird managers proposed a set of specific actions that would develop the Waterbird Site Networks in China and strengthen the network of wetland and waterbird managers. These were agreed as priority tasks so that sites could work together as a stronger unit to attract funding and resources for their growing range of conservation activities.
