We greatly regret to announce the passing away of Dineke Beintema on Saturday 18th October 2003. Dineke was a key member of the Ramsar Sites Database Team, based in Wageningen. Dineke served Wetlands International and the Ramsar Convention for many years and will be especially remembered as a capable scientist and also as a warm and caring human being, who always gave to the maximum. Our heartfelt and sincere condolences go out to Dineke's family.
