As part of the ongoing process of organisational integration and harmonization, Wetlands International's senior managers gathered in Wageningen from 30 September to 4 October for a week of strategic planning, training and team building. The key aims of the meeting were to finalise 2003 workplans and budgets, complete the 4 programme action plans underpinning the new 2002-2005 Strategy and agree key standards for office operations and external communications. The programme was interspersed with a series of training sessions including presentation techniques, logical frameworks and use of indicators in project development. The weather was kind to our visitors from the tropics who went away with completely the wrong impression about weather patterns in the Netherlands. A full report from the meeting will be available on this web site in the coming weeks.
