The Asia Pacific Migratory Waterbirds Listserver was recently launched. The aim is to provide a forum for non-government and government organisations and individuals with an interest in sharing information and ideas to promote the conservation of migratory waterbirds in the Asia-Pacific region. Topics that could be covered include: information on waterbird migration, resightings of colour marked and ringed waterbirds, site conservation issues, ongoing projects, proposed work, queries. It will also serve as a mechanism of sharing information on the waterbird Site Networks and support implementation of waterbird conservation activities of the Asia-Pacific Migratory Waterbird Conservation Strategy. Subscription to this unmoderated discussion group is open to all interested parties. The discussion group is supported by Environment Australia as part of its initiatives to promote the conservation of migratory waterbirds in the Asia-Pacific region.
