In the camp, organised in Had Noparat tara, Krabi province, from 9 to 11 August, there were approximately 1,000 participants from various institutes in 14 southern provinces. Activities focused on awareness building amongst youth in conserving resources and their environment. Green Coast-partner WWF Thailand also participated by setting up an exhibition to showcase her work.

Educating youth
Additionally the Green Coast partner, together with the Marine Biological Centre, also acted as speaker educating youth on wildlife that inhabits the coral reef and mangrove forests - one of the seven interpretive stations the participants experienced.

Networks
Camps like Chalermprakiat Camp build networks among the students that promote the conservation of marine and coastal resources. Furthermore, WWF Thailand funded prizes to students with the highest scores in each group. Thus, students not only received knowledge but souvenirs as well.
