Why do you need it? Normally upon clicking on the Mapper links, a map of the world will be displayed within a few seconds (depends on connection). However, if you just see a blank screen in the map area it is possible that you do not have the Flash Player installed, which is necessary to see the map and navigate around it.

The Web Mapper will only function if you have the Flash Player installed on your computer. It is very easy to install, just click on this link: and follow the instructions to download the free player

Still have problems? It is possible that if you are within a large organisation your compuer administrator has blocked access to downloads of programs from external websites. If so, please ask for permission to install the Flash Player or ask your administrator to do so.
