The CD includes data (taken from the Ramsar Sites Information Service) on the total number and regional distribution of all Sites designated up to September 2005. In accordance with established practice, all Ramsar Sites designated by 31 December 2004 for which data were available are included in the CD Directory. Sites designated after this date up to the end of 2005 are being added to the live Internet-based Directory.
