Mangroves for the Future
Wetlands International is partner in the collaborative platform Mangroves for the Future (MFF). This multi-country and multi-sector initiative was established in 2007 as a follow up to coastal management interventions before and after the 2004 tsunami. The aim of MFF is to promote investment in coastal ecosystem conservation that is both sustainable and beneficial to local people.
By being partner of the MFF network, Wetlands International builds forward on its leading role in the Green Coast project. To fulfil this role Wetlands International also has a seat in MFF's International Steering Committee which meets every 6 months.
