Wetlands biodiversity conservation in Ukrainian agricultural lands

Wetlands International organised a conference involving participants from the agriculture, water and environment sectors. Practical guidelines on biodiversity conservation in agricultural lands were published.


Action Description:

Improving the value of agricultural areas in the Ukraine for biodiversity and wetlands conservation is a high priority in Ukraine. Raising public awareness and enhancing collaboration among scientists, politicians and practitioners from agricultural and nature conservation sectors is a critically important component of this.

The project was financed by the Netherlands’ Ministry of Agriculture, Nature Management and Fisheries and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the framework of the Netherlands’ Programme for the International Nature Management.
