Mr. Hamdan is originally from Aceh, Sumatra (indonesia).

He decided to move to Tanjung Jabung Barat on June 2007 to get a better life. He has no family, no money and no job. He then agreed to join in the community group, and submitted proposal for a Rp.500,000 ($60) loan from WPRP.

He used the loan to rent a land for vegetable planting. After the third-round loan, promising results are finally emerging, and significant economic wealth is coming closer. Good harvesting seasons enable him to buy his own 2 ha. land and a second hand motorcycle to travel from house to the field. In addition, a land has also been obtained to build a simple house, perhaps using the next harvest season.

Nana Sougoule, a woman of Sabougnouma group of Konio Village, Mali testifies "When I got a loan of €305 from Kondo Jigima, I split it into two parts: €229 that have been used to buy two oxes for fattening, and the rest €76 for fish marketing".

"With the latter amount, I bought 36 Kg of fish, €2/Kg. After a while, each Kg of fish was marketed at €3. During each round of this business, I made a profit of about €55. From February to May 2008, I made a total profit of €220!"
