Discussion
Fora ( Discussion Forums icon:
)
Discussion fora are web-based tools to allow a group of users to place comments in a common work space, allowing exchange of views and drafting of products. In addition to fora, there are facilities to share documents amongst Group members.
To
use the fora: Each Thematic Working Group is allocated a Discussion Forum.
Anybody with access to the STRP Support Service website can post messages
to any of the Working Group Discussion Forums EXCEPT the "Private Work
Area for STRP Leads" which is reserved for use of the STRP Chair, Co-Chair,
regional and working group leads.
When
a message is posted, all the subscribed members of that Working Group
Forum will receive a notification email, telling them that a new message has
been posted. The first line of the actual message itself will be emailed,
as well as the link. Documents
that Thematic Working Group members are asked to review can also be attached
to a posted message.
Link to the Library: Every document posted to Discussion Fora will also appear in the Library for that Thematic Working Group. This is to ensure that the Library contains all relevant documents added either by direct uploading to the Library or via the Fora. STRP members can choose to access the documents via the Discussion Fora or the Library
Private Work Area for STRP Leads: This Discussion Forum can only be accessed by the STRP WG Leads, and is provided to enable inter-Group coordination by the Leads
To access the Discussion Fora, please go either via the relevant Thematic Working Group page using the link button on the left of this page, or click here to reach all Fora

A Library database stores all references to documents including links to documents on external websites. Documents can be uploaded into the Library by Thematic Working Group Members, so that all can share them. This means that the list of available documents will grow to reflect the information provided by Members and by the Support Service and Bureau. TIP: Whenever you attach a document to your Discussion Forum message, the document is automatically copied to the Library for that Working Group
Please use the Library for your Thematic Working Group to post documents, or links to external websites etc, so that other members of the Working Group can access the same information on demand. Posting documents and links to documents is simple:
