The Database was created by the Ramsar Bureau, and is being maintained for the Bureau by Wetlands International, an International Organisation Partner of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands. Personal and professional information contained in this Database is the property of the individual experts concerned.

| Who can see your details? |
As a default setting, nobody can see your details, except the Webmaster of Wetlands International and the staff of the Ramsar Bureau. If you choose to allow it, through explicity clicking on a permission button while editing your details, then the following people and organisations have access: Ramsar Bureau staff, nominated officers of Wetlands International managing the STRP Support Service, members of Ramsar STRP and its Working Groups, National STRP Focal Points, Coordinators of Specialist Groups of Wetlands International, and the nominated focal points of WWF, IUCN and BirdLife International. Wetlands International advises you to make your details visible as otherwise your chances of being invited to advise others or to obtain consultancies will be limited. |
| What is the interest in your expertise? | Members of the Ramsar Wetland Experts Database are considered to be available for selection for short term consultancy, possible requests for help and advice and inclusion in Working Groups or attendance at Ramsar-related meetings. The Ramsar STRP Working Groups have the task of producing reviews, guidelines and other inputs to the Conference of the Parties, and will require access to expertise. |
| Remuneration | No arrangements have been made to specify the terms under which your services may be made available. You are at liberty to make your own arrangements and if approached by a potential client, you are expected to state under what terms you are willing to be available.
