A lake embayment, including open water, reedbeds, marshland with tall sedges, grassland, riverine woodland, and Salix thickets. Artificial islands have been created to encourage nesting birds. Human activities include nature conservation, forestry, fishing, tourism (camping, water sports), and agriculture.
