Wetlands are, by several orders of magnitude, the most valuable ecosystem when it comes to the services they provide. We are deeply concerned about the loss and deterioration of wetlands such as peatlands, mangroves, and rivers, and our vision is of a world where these landscapes are treasured and nurtured for their beauty, the life they support, and the resources they provide. We are dedicated to maintaining and restoring wetlands – for their natural and spiritual values as well as for the services they provide to people. Urgent action is needed to reverse the decline and revive these natural wonders. It’s time to bring back our wetlands at the scale and pace needed to address the water, climate, and biodiversity crises. Will you join us?
We work through our network of offices, our partners, and experts to achieve our goals. Most of our work is financed on a project basis by governments, companies, and private donors, as well as unrestricted funding designated to strengthen the impact of our organisation. To achieve the ambitious goals of our Strategic Intent 2020 – 2030, we are seeking to significantly increase the scale, pace, and impact of our work, which in turn will enable others to act. To help turn our vision into reality, we have created this senior position in our global team for an experienced fundraiser to increase our income and fundraising capacity by designing and implementing an entrepreneurial partnership strategy across the global network.
You will bring a robust track record of working with prospects and donors to secure gifts at the 6-figure level or more, and relish the opportunity to shape, build and drive an international team focussed on achieving our goals. You will be a collaborative and strategic team player, who isn’t afraid of rolling up their sleeves to build an operation that will underpin our success in fundraising and partnership building. Your experience of developing strategic philanthropic relationships, coupled with an innovative and flexible approach to achieving outstanding results, will inspire colleagues and partners around you.
