Wetlands International is the global not-for-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of wetlands. Our vision is a world where wetlands are treasured and nurtured for their beauty, the life they support and the resources they provide.

Our ambition over the next five years is to recover ten large wetland landscapes— mangroves, peatlands and freshwater wetlands of the Sahel – to benefit local communities, the economy and nature. We aim to do this by getting the political traction, finance and knowledge needed to bring wetland solutions into economic recovery, climate action and development, and so helping to achieve the Global Goals 2030.
