Arina Schrier-Uijl did her research (funded by CarboEurope) at the Wageningen University (the Netherlands) in measuring, analyzing and comparing greenhouse gas emission balances and carbon balances in temperate peatlands. She has published and co-authored 14 scientific publications and worked on various other reports, book chapters and (scientific) reviews. She now runs an Environmental Consultancy firm and works in carbon research, greenhouse gas emissions research related to climate change, carbon accounting methodology development, writing and reviewing of reports and documents (e.g. IPCC, REDD+, RSPO), teaching, and broader (tropical) peat and wetland conservation related issues.
Arina holds a PhD degree in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University and a masters degree in Soil Science and Hydrology. She has experience as soil scientist at the Milieu Dienst Zuid Oost Utrecht.
