Head of Advocacy and Communications

Global Office

Wetlands are one of the most undervalued, overlooked and misunderstood ecosystems in our global society, yet without healthy, functioning wetlands, we cannot address biodiversity loss, deal with climate change, nor sustain local livelihoods. Our vision for communications and advocacy at Wetlands International is to turn this around: to inspire and mobilise a sea change in attitudes, values and behaviour around wetlands.

I’m a sustainability communications expert and strategist with more than a decade of experience spanning journalism, content, outreach, design and environmental education across international knowledge environments dealing with complex global issues. I hold an MSc Human Geography from the University of Amsterdam, specialising in climate and water governance. Prior to Wetlands International, I worked for EIT Climate-KIC and SustainRCA at the Royal College of Art, and have campaigned with citizen-led initiatives including End Ecocide.
