Jill Heyde is an experienced project manager and technical advisor with over 20 years of interdisciplinary engagement in the natural resource management and development sectors. She has worked with a range of governmental, non-governmental, academic, and community organizations. Her experience spans Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Much of her work has focused on wetlands issues in Indonesia, including community-based management of coastal resources and the integration of community-based approaches into the restoration of peatlands.
Jill holds a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Bremen. Her research focused on environmental governance and resource tenure. In addition, Jill has an interdisciplinary master’s degree in Environmental Studies for York University in Toronto.
