Corporate Engagement Manager

At Wetlands International, we work to conserve and restore diverse wetland systems in all parts of the
world, including mangroves, peatlands, and freshwater wetlands.

Our Coasts and Deltas team is developing a diverse and rapidly expanding portfolio of projects and
programmes on a global scale. To bring our work to scale we co-founded leading partnerships including the Global Mangrove Alliance, the Mangrove Breakthrough and the World Coastal Forum. Our work is rooted in science: our innovative platforms such as Global Mangrove Watch inform policy and inspire action on the ground.

Partnerships with the private sector are an important cornerstone of our work. In recent years, guided
by our corporate engagement strategy, we established ambitious collaborations with leading companies from across various disciplines. We also became an active member of the public-private
Building with Nature consortium, coordinated by Ecoshape. The aim of these partnerships is to help
our corporate partners integrate nature-based solutions in their business. Most of our partnerships
focus on enhancing sustainability performance of the marine and water engineering sector. Increasingly, we also work with corporates involved in production and trade of commodities (shrimp,
rice, oil palm) that are grown in wetland environments.

As Corporate Engagement Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving these exciting corporate
partnerships. You will maintain and develop corporate relations, oversee partnership development
and implementation and contribute your technical expertise in implementing joint initiatives.

Responsibilities (and estimated % of your time):

● Manage two high-profile corporate partnerships with partners involved in coastal engineering,
by maintaining partner relations, ensuring partnership development, overseeing joint project implementation and contributing technical expertise (30-50%).
● Scope opportunities for the development of new corporate partnerships relevant to the scope
of work of Wetlands International (10-20%).
