Shifting development norms in the Paraná Delta, Argentina

The Paraná Delta covers 1.7 million hectares, and is the endpoint of the Paraguay-Paraná river system, which drains a huge area of South America on which more than 40,000 people depend. We work with local partners to maintain a biodiversity corridor through the delta, such as protecting the critically endangered marsh deer, or encouraging ranchers to raise water buffalo as an alternative to regular cattle to better adapt to the hydrology of the wetland.
