Published on:

Started in November 2020, the 2nd phase of Water, Peace and Security (WPS) project in Mali aims to improve the management of natural resources in order to strengthen social cohesion, increase resilience (to climatic and water shocks), and begin peace consolidation. It envisages establishing vertically and horizontally integrated links between government entities at different scales, researchers, academics, media, development NGOs, and donors expected to work closely to be able to find solutions to complex problems. such as water-related risks.

It is in this context that WPS Mali produced this short video for Stockholm World Water Week in August 2023.

This video is the summary of some Outcomes from community dialogue in the Inner Niger Delta which led to agreements for peaceful management of natural resources and it explains how the actors were mobilized from local to national level around the WPS project.
