At the heart of our work are innovative decision support tools and interactive maps, which provide insights to enhance wetland conservation and restoration.
As a science-based organisation, Wetlands International constantly seeks to develop innovative research tools and mapping platforms that can help drive action in wetlands worldwide. By working with partners to co-create and enhance these free, publicly-available tools, we not only focus attention on the critical issues facing wetlands and the key levers for change, but we also support national and international efforts to accelerate wetlands action – and scale up wetland impact.
We openly publish our knowledge, tools and maps, and call for new partners to collaborate to improve them so that they provide as much added value as possible to governments, communities, civil society organisations, companies and investors.
Our goal is to assist and catalyse the planning, conservation, restoration and sustainable management of wetland resources.
