Wetlands International welcomes Omer Ozveren as new Director of Resources
Wetlands International is pleased to announce the appointment of Omer Ozveren as its new Director of Resources, effective August 1st 2025. Omer brings nearly two decades of leadership experience in finance, operations, and organizational development within the international non-profit sector.
Before joining Wetlands International, Omer held senior positions at the European Climate Foundation, Mercy Corps, Hivos, and Greenpeace International. He has overseen global finance and operations functions, supervised international networks, and led cross-functional teams in diverse and complex environments.
Omer began his career in corporate banking and financial management, where he built a strong foundation in strategic planning, systems, and financial governance. He holds MSc in Management from the University of Amsterdam, with a focus on leadership.
Throughout his career, Omer has been passionate about building transparent, value-driven teams and aligning systems and resources with mission impact.
